with their newest addition to the seer ranks, river. esther had decided the pack needed to hunt, mouths needed feeding thus she awaited salathiel to track down any game ranging from an elder deer to a new born moose. noticing some if not all pack members absences she warmed herself up ready to call upon them making sure that there would be enough members for the job to get done. lifting her crown she let out a long melodic howl, calling on those closest to her to form a hunting party.

awaiting salathiels movements and the rest of the packs approach she perched herself softly on her rump before casting her gaze to the ebon male whom had his nose to the ground. find anything yet salathel? she questioned him cautiously. the pack needed feeding, and she hoped the male would find a source of game for them before the majority of the members flocked in.

as of now there were 4 members of the druid peak pack, herself, salathiel, poison and river. river was their newest recruit but there were other lone wolves encroaching within the valley. normally her biggest priority was to keep the pack safe and guarded from anonymous and dangerous threats but their scents did not at all seem aggressive. she concluded that the current lone wolves were just pondering about, their trespassing seemed unnoticed. it was either that or they too were trying to find a source of food or water in order for survival.

River loped along quietly, licking her lips as she followed the trio of Sal, Esther, and Poison. The ebony female padded up to Esther's side, awaiting instructions. Her body was shivering with excitement. It had been long since she had last went on a hunt, a big one. And that was by herself. Her tail was quivering, from nervousness or excitement she couldn't tell, but she tried to hold her head high to show she could hunt just like the rest of them. The female, scented the air and picked up a faint trace of deer. She pointed in the direction with her nose, flicking her eyes, hoping they would get the signal.

a hunt was under way and esther had called out to those whom were a distance away hoping they would approach soon. river was the first to arrive, the thrill of the hunt not only excited the salathiel but also her. they were eager to see what challenge awaited, and fill their hungry stomachs. as the male began to sniff around, it seemed river had beat him to finding a resource for their food. with a quick glance to esther; it seems our seer has beat me to it! with a soft chuckle he lifted his crown, and began a slot trot west of the territory.

alright, it seems its just us three. im sure poison will join us soon. the elk is not far from where we are, i reckon if we keep at a decent pace we will catch it before it reaches the lake. swirling his head back he awaited both females to follow suit. oh, and one more thing. never go straight for the kill. we need to tire this deer out, its not elder nor young. so its stamina will be somewhat decent. with a smirk he continued west.

Poison followed closely behind Esther, letting her lead the pack to the location where they would look for prey. His ears were perked yet all that reached them was the almost noiseless drumming of their paws against the earth. 'Perfect.' he thought, there was little noise that might warn prey of their presence. After a few hundred yards of jogging, the Alpha male changed course and headed to his left in search of a vantage point or a scent trail. Once he had gone far enough so that he couldn't hear the rest of the pack, he stopped and bent his muzzle to the ground, his nose working quickly and his head swaying from side to side as if his nose was leading him on a merry dance. The white male had headed deeper into the forest and still had no luck in search of prey, not surprising since he had been looking in the wrong places. Just as Poison decided to give up, Esther's howl sounded out, calling the pack towards her. 'How convenient, just as I had given up.' The male did feel a little surprised however, surely Esther would know not to howl, it might scare their prey away, or at least alert them. Poison sighed and loped towards the location where the howl had emitted from. It didn't take him too long though, he must have accidentally wondered in the direction of his pack whilst on the search for prey. Slowing down as he neared the others, he spotted Salathiel addressing the two females. "Picked up a trail?" he asked as he padded closer to the group.
